Hello, my lovely-jubblies!
I’m Ashika, a British-Indian bibliophile, art lover, photographer and egalitarian and lots more too.
I’m a college student in the UK, studying English Literature, Communication & Culture and Media Studies in the hopes of becoming a photo/travel journalist.
Words cannot describe how much I adore literature. From classics to contemporary, I read it all! My current read is A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin and my favourite novel of all time is…I cannot decide, they’ve all been great in their own way!
I love journaling and decorating my notebooks with washi tape, colours, stickers, thoughts and ideas. My goal is to inspire you to take up journaling/diary writing/notebook writing because it is such a beneficial thing to do.
Art is simply my aesthetic, be it fine or digital, I love the thought of messages embedded into beautiful creations.
I strongly believe in equality, and I mean for EVERYONE! Discrimination disgusts me and my dream is to see everyone happy and treated fairly.
Jesus is my role model and I’m not ashamed to say that I’m Christian. My faith is so important to me and I attempt to bring it into practice for others to witness.
I like to visit Middle Earth and Westeros and go on adventures, meet some old friends in Hogwarts, dream about the future in the American West, survive under the totalitarian Greater East Asia and swim in the sea with Selkies while singing secret songs. (If you understand ALL of these references, you are a legend and will receive an unlimited supply of cookies and candy floss)
Musically, I listen to anyone with a quality discography, particularly SHINee, Shawn Mendes, The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, David Bowie and Pink Floyd to name a few. Lover Boy by, the most underrated and virtually unheard-of group, A-Peace, is my theme song.
Teen Wolf, Shadowhunters, Riverdale and Sons of Anarchy are my favourite TV series. I plan on starting Reign, Bates Motel, The OA and Game of Thrones in the future, hopefully.
So there you have it, this is oddly only a gist of who I am in general, though. Through my blog, I hope you can learn about me while you get inspired to be creative 🙂
